autostart programs in Ubuntu

Today is a day of small karmik around with my ubuntu 9.10;

As always of notebooks I sign a simple script to start or commands automatically at the start of the operating system.

sudo gedit / etc / rc.local

In this way, a convenient window appears where you can enter custom commands before the heading "exit 0";
In my case, having trouble configuring the sound card, I had to start the following command (the first on the list, the other 2 are reported as not useful precisely because in this case)

sudo / sbin / alsa force-reload
sudo dpkg-reconfigure alsa-base
sudo / etc / init.d / alsa-utils reset

Other useful commands:

lspci il sistema sul tipo di scheda che risulta sul pc, il secondo per impostare i livelli di una "specie di mixer audio" del pc.
