The second type di vaso è crepato. Se ci si versa dentro il Dhamma, ne vien fuori lentamente, finché non si svuota del tutto. Il terzo tipo è pieno fino all'orlo d'acqua stagnante: convinzioni e opinioni. Non vi si può versare nulla di nuovo dentro, perché sanno già tutto. L'unico recipiente utile è quello del quarto tipo, senza buchi né crepe e completamente vuoto.
